Public Collaborations are designed to educate, empower and encourage creativity in all the people that participate.

For all my art career, I have been working with the public—communities and individuals: creating art, encouraging creativity and making the world a beautiful place to live. Four of those years, I worked with artist, Bobby Malzone. In addition to working with the Maryland State Arts Council for 20 years, I teach classes to adults and children, install mosaic sculptures in people’s homes and businesses as well as working along side teachers, parents, students, and children helping to make visions into art for future generations.

A few of the Public Collaborations:

  • Intergenerational Art Workshop: As part of the Onstage! Program, funded by The Kresge Foundation, the Institute of Music & Dance developed and facilitated a phenomenal intergenerational art workshop that culminated in the hanging of a mosaic in the McGivney Bethune Senior Apartment Complex, Detroit, MI. The development and fruition of this workshop epitomizes the Marygrove mission of urban leadership. The workshop took place on Monday and Tuesday, March 23 & 24, 2015.
